Warranty Repairs/ Handyman

JOB DESCRIPTION

AML Flooring is seeking a Handyman to join our team. Previous tile and flooring Installation experience is strongly preferred. This position requires someone who is a self-starter able to work independently as well as work closely with customers, builders, and sub-contractors in a fast paced environment while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

As a Handyman, you will act as a liaison between the homeowners and the company to identify and determine the warrantable status or validity of service requests. The Handyman will do repairs and minor touch ups as needed and is accountable for scheduling and coordinating needed subcontractor warranty repairs. The Handyman is also responsible for educating the homeowner on the importance of preventive maintenance and ensure proper documentation and sign-off of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Flooring repairs

· Ceramic tile/grout repairs

· Touch-ups

· Coordinate and schedule repairs with contractors and customers accordingly.

· Communicate between internal departments to ensure all warranty jobs are scheduled properly, include the right details, and have the correct materials needed.

· Schedule appointments to efficiently to ensure all homeowners are served in a timely manner.

· Follow up with homeowners and builders when jobs are completed regarding warranty issues, repairs and material or quality issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

· A positive attitude and superior verbal communication skills are essential.

· Well organized and apt in problem-solving.

· Attention to detail.

· Experience in flooring installation a plus.

· A team player that will be able to work closely with Customers, Builders, and Sub-contractors in a fast paced environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation for daily regional travel required.
